3 RECOMMENDED READS FOR THE WANNABE INTERIOR STYLIST

If you follow me on twitter then you already know, I read A LOT of blogs. Like, A LOT! My main topic of interest is, without a doubt, interior design/interior styling posts. I freakin can't get enough. I recently declaired my secret want to become an interior stylists + my little "research" via the blogespher makes me feel like I'm pushing myself one step closer to my dream.

I take it from the fact that you're reading this post, we may have a certain interiors related goal in common! Well, if that's the case, you've definilty found yourself in the right corner of the inter-web, because today I'm gonna share 3 badass posts for the wannabe interior stylist. So, yes, it's true that I'm a totally fan of Akwisombe's but, take my word for it, this is a solid read. Sarah's super honest + really good about layin it all out there as a real person. She shares all the deets on how the day went, how she felt, and even how she landed the awesome styling assistant gig in the first place.

In my experience, doing anything for the first time can be really intimidating but once you know what you're in for, things tend to seem less scary. This post really gives you an overview of what being an interior styling assistant looks like so you can get an idea of what to expect. As a wannabe stylist myself, I plan on taking whatever assisting jobs I can get my hands on. Thanks to this post, I feel that much more confident that I can handle the job!

Basically, twice a year Calling It Home challenges a bunch of interiors people to makeover one room in six weeks, documenting the process along the way. It's a really cool concept + I really love the way Cassandra Lavalle, of Coco+Kelley's room came out!

WHY YOU SHOULD CHECK IT OUT:

Hello! You get to see a project from start to finish +, as previously stated, this is a good one! It's really fun to follow along + watch a room take shape. Not only is it super inspiring but, again, it makes the process a lot clearer for us newbies.
